Things You May Not Know About Tagbilaran City

Tagbilaran City is the capital city of Bohol, one of the island provinces. In July 1966 it became a city. In 2015 it has  105,051 recorded population and 57% are the electorate. It is a first class city, small and peaceful. A gateway to tourist spots around Bohol.  There are plenty of entry points surrounding the province. If you fly from Manila there are several direct flights. If you travel via Cebu there are fast craft to choose from, but you can also go slower via slow boats. You can travel via Tubigon which is an hour by public vehicle. If you travel from Southern Leyte, entry point is via Bato, Leyte or Hilongos, Leyte in a two hour pump boat ride to Ubay northern part of Bohol which is a 2 hour and a half to Tagbilaran City. If you are from Cagayan de Oro City a slow boat on a night time travels 3 times a week direct to Tagbilaran City port. If you are traveling from Panay then you take a night trip from Iloilo City to Cebu City and hop on to another boat in Cebu to Tagbilaran. If you are from Negros, a fast craft travels once a day via Dumaguete to Tagbilaran.  Another entry point is the town of Jagna.  Boats from Camiguin and Cagayan de Oro city  docks 3 to 4 times a week and boats from Nasipit (Butuan City) docks once a week.

Tagbilaran is a place easy to reach, either by plane, fast craft or slow boat. While in Tagbilaran there are plenty of hotels from low end to high end depending on your budget. There are nice restaurants also from low end to high end. Shopping malls are nearby each other one can just hop from one to the other. Its a small city and being lost just by walking around is not likely to happen.
